Since the late 1960's, Puerto Rico and small fishing villages like Rincón, have undergone expansive costal development, driven by tourism and the growing demand for beachfront property. “The Edge of the Sea”, follows Pauco in his battle against a local developer planning to build a mega condo project on one of Rincon’s most popular public beaches. This film, explores the issue of privatization of public areas, and the social and environmental consequences of excessive coastal development.<br /><br />--A film by Maria Jose Calderon</span><br /><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;" > Producer/ Director</span>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5442941724386046577.post-43167299767627700722009-08-25T21:57:00.002-04:002009-10-27T19:26:23.657-04:00Trailer of "The Edge Of The Sea"<object height="340" width="560"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/bkpyRQa2Oa8&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x006699&color2=0x54abd6"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/bkpyRQa2Oa8&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x006699&color2=0x54abd6" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="340" width="560"></embed></object><br /><br /><br /><br /><span style="color:magenta;"><br /></span><br /><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;" >Related Movies and Films:</span><br /><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: rgb(103, 78, 167);"><br /></span></span><br /><br /><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/majocalderon"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: rgb(103, 78, 167);">http://www.youtube.com/user/majocalderon</span></span></a><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: rgb(103, 78, 167);"><o:p></o:p></span></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><a href="http://www.vimeo.com/user1327897"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: rgb(103, 78, 167);">http://www.vimeo.com/user1327897</span></span></a><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: rgb(103, 78, 167);"><o:p></o:p></span></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="color: rgb(103, 78, 167);font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;" ><br /></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: rgb(103, 78, 167);">Surfrider Foundation in PR about the same issue:</span></span><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: rgb(103, 78, 167);"><o:p></o:p></span></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><a href="http://www.surfrider.org/rincon/stv.php"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: rgb(103, 78, 167);">http://www.surfrider.org/rincon/stv.php</span></span></a><span style="font-family:Helvetica;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
